GTAV Not rendering.

Hi, I'm currently having issues with GTA 5 on my pc. As soon as I launch online multiplayer, I notice that the building I spawn in is not detailed properly and looks like something from the Source Engine. Then, if i take a car out of my garage, after driving 10m, the floor refuses to render properly and the game becomes unplayable.
Specs:
Intel i5 6500 Skylake
MSI GTX 970
16GB Kingston HyperX DDR4 RAM @ 2133 MHz
1TB Samsung 850 Evo SSD
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo

If anyone has any idea why my game isn't rendering properly, help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

That sounds like maybe the game files aren't loading properly, or maybe your GPU is giving up the ghost. I don't actually know if chkdisk works for SSD's (it probably does), but it's something to try. Pull up an admin command prompt and run chkdisk /f /r, then restart your computer. If that comes up clean (or doesn't work because SSD), try a memory test; if your RAM is dying, it may not be able to properly cache the game's files.

Honestly, RAM that new shouldn't be having any issues, but you never know. I will say though, the GTX 970 could simply be a bit of a bottleneck; GTA V runs well on my 980Ti, but I'm not running absolute max settings.

Tried chkdisk and it's an unknown command prompt. Just done a memory test and no issues found. Any idea how to stop my gpu bottlenecking?

Wait, chkdisk isn't being recognized as a valid command?...Reinstall Windows, something's been badly corrupted somewhere.

If your GPU is being a bottleneck it's simply because it's not powerful enough for the game at high settings. I don't think the 970 is anywhere near that weak, but it's always a possibility.

It was late at night when I did this so I'll double check that I can read properly when I get the chance. I haven't had any issues with Windows from a client perspective although it's always possible that something has gone wrong somewhere. I'm also now in contact with MSI to see if they've had any other issues with their card similar which are similar to mine and if they have any fixes. Unfortunately I won't be able to try anything for a week as I am on holiday, but I greatly appreciate your help so far and hopefully will be able to continue this when I get back.
