hi, what i mean about slow is the fact that it takes a lot of time loading up files, startup, sudden freezes and my pc gets a bit slow. its not my internet because i have stable fibre optic internet and im not talking about games and how slow they are, but the files and stuff that have nothing to do with games. my pc has 16gb ram and 4tb hard drive.

As been suggested you need to check to see what is loading when you start your computer and to see what is running the background that may be using too much RAM or is CPU intensive. While you are correct that you don't need an SSD there are benefits to using one other than just boot time. Boot time is not the only thing that is faster. Software and files generally open faster on an SSD. If you were satisfied with the drive speed before it started taking more time to load files then you don't need or have to have an SSD. Check startup and background processes to see what is going on and that may do more good than anything else.

Do you have a lot of program's loading on startup .? This can slow things down . Maybe a faster hdd like an ssd for your operating system would be faster but stopping loads of stuff loading on startup would help.

but is it really neccessary when you already have a good pc and is capable of doing multi tasking, but i have no idea what has happened to mine. i dont really need ssd because it only benefits games and boot time
