The only thing I found on the internet is disconnected the second disk so the only one boots up as disk0. I don't see how any software could care which disk it is, they all install based on drive letter assigned . Unless you are saying the raid5 isn't the C drive.

From what I've read you cannot change which disk is listed as 1 or 2 or 0. it is whatever windows detects first. But like I said you can disconnect the secondary drive so only disk0 /raid5 is present. Install the software and go back to what you had before. I never heard of any program installing based on disk number either, but there is always a first.

I know it is not RAID 0, but I need to rearrange the disk order due to software that needs to have the C-drive arranged as disk 0. Wonder if disabling the BIOS on the Perc 6i controller will do the trix, since the Windows will not concider the devoce as bootable

That' fight. The RAID 5 disk is the data disk, and the software complaining is used for taking snapshots of the disks.
I'm going to temporary remove the RAID controller and see if this will help me solve the problem, but I suppose I'll have some problems booting, since the booting now is from disk 1, though this can be fixed booting from winPE and the command tools you find there
