I have been looking for weeks it seems, but can't find anything that I am looking for. Probably because the keywords open here or open back do not bring up what I'm looking for usually. And as I don't have a lot of time, I've been having to do it on my phone for the most part and it's extremely difficult.

I am looking for a very inexpensive open ear/open back gaming headset is preferably USB connector, 3.5 MM will work in a pinch. I would like it to have a microphone, but that isn'tcompletely necessary. Headphones will work as well. And it would be nice if it was 7.1 surround sound. Like the microphone, not completely necessary.

Most important is that it's over the ear with open back so I can still hear things going on around me.

Virtual 7.1 is a gimmick and can be applied to any stereo headset using software like Razers Surround program. At the cheaper end of the scale you are better off not buying a gaming headset, they are style over substance and a similar priced stereo headset will most likely have superior sound quality.

If possible I'd like to stay under $50. Exclusively with a PC. If <$50 isn't an option, I'd still like to know what would be a good option I can work towards.
