Can I ask whether my components are compatible and if so, what is the problem with my computer?

I built my own gaming PC with these components:

CPU - Intel CPU/Core i3-7100 3.90GHz 3M LGA1151

MotherBoard - Gigabyte B150M-D3H DDR3 [LGA1151]

PSU - EVGA - 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Memory [RAM] - 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Dual/Quad Channel Kit [CML8GX3M2A1600C9B]

I have built the PC out side of the case to test the main components, when I turn the PC on the motherboard lights up with an orange light, no display on screen and no beeps heard. When I remove the RAM the motherboard will make a couple of beeps before restarting again. The CPU Cooler & GPU fan will spin when the computer is turned on.

All cables are connected correctly as I have double checked with friends and via internet so I have come to the conclusion it is a hardware problem.

Can somebody tell me whether these parts are compatible or what my problem is with the hardware?

Its not a problem with my CPU as it is 1-day old and has no bent pins on the back.
Its not a problem with the PSU because it has been tested in another computer, which it worked for.

OTHER HARDWARE
---

Case - BitFenix Nova ATX Mid-Tower
CPU Cooler - HyperMaster Evo 212
HDD - Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card [GPU] - PNY GTX 550Ti

Could somebody please attempt to help me on this one, Thank you.

like the poster above says. the i3 7100 is a kaby lake cpu , the b150 motherboards were initially produced for the 6th generation skylake cpus, whilst they do support 7th gen cpus , they require a bios update to make them compatible. this bios update cannot be done without access to a 6th gen cpu ( for example the i3 6100). the best courses of action are :-

either return the motherboard and get a b250 series motherboard

take the computer to a store and pay for the bios to be updated

borrow a 6th gen cpu from a friend and update the bios

return the i3 7100 and get the i3 6100.

Thank's for the replies, helped me in this case. Could I suggest a motherboard that won't cost too much and is compatible with the RAM I currently own. I was looking at a B250 Motherboard and aparently I need a 288-PIN RAM Stick but I have 240-PIN RAM Sticks.. If there is a motherboard that will work 100% with my current cpu and ram could you tell me and I will buy it?

as far as i am aware ddr3 (1.5v)ram is not compatible with 7th gen cpus. ddr3L (1.35v) is compatible with some of the 6th gen cpus but for 7th gen i believe only ddr4 is officially compatible . so you will need to return the ram as well as the motherboard unfortunately .. although feel free to make a new thread to ask about using ddr3 ram with the i3 7100 if you wish to seek further clarification .

I have just sold my CPU and bought a Intel Pentium G4400 3.3 GHz 1151 3mb Dual Core Desktop Processor
Will this CPU allow my PC to run now?
