So I just upgraded my Asus g20cb from 970 blower style to 1080 founders . I am encountering two problems.
Overheating to 84 c degrees when running battleground; so I used msi afterburners, increase fan to 100%. The temp would be constant 60 c degrees when running battleground. However, the new issue came up, my screen would randomly freeze for 1 sec during battleground or even league of legends. I would say on average 1-sec screen freeze for 1 time during 15 minutes.
I am wondering if the screen freeze is caused by msi afterburners.
My specs: i7 6700 3.4hz; 16gb memory; 1tb hhd.(asus rog g20cb)
Psi 230w for gpu.
Also, even with constant 60 Celsius degrees, my gameplay on battleground doesn't improve a lot after upgrading to 1080. The fps isn't constant, drastically range from 40fps to 110 running ultra 1080p(75 on average). Sometimes I would get a perfectly smooth gameplay for constant 100 fps.
I am starting to think if the evga 1080 founder is a defect, should I return it to Best Buy. Drivers all set, properly install gpu for 3 times.
Thank you very much for help!
