You won't need an extra case fan if you front mount the Kraken cooler instead. I would say the Kraken x61 cooler instead because you will get 2 140mm fans for better cooling performance and this case specifically supports it and it will look nice considering it's the same brand manufacturing it as well as recommended here on toms hardware. 2400mhz RAM I would agree with.

I would also add in a 2 TB spinning hard drive for mass storage. WD black is fine there.

P.S. If you really want to make your build pop see if you can find some black and white cable extensions because those would look sick in the build.

P.P.S If you're dealing with 3 grand and you want to go all out you could probably do a 1080 ti SLI setup and grab a 6 core Intel with 40 lanes of PCIE support on an X99 chipset board. That is if you're not including peripherals and a monitor into the 3k price.

Well I hadn't picked a monitor yet, but this is all great advise, thank you! Also, I picked that RAM for the CAS 14, since that had the best latency of the ones available, will that mess with performance at all? I'd probably have to go with a 15 or 16 CAS.

Thanks man! I added the RAM to my list. What kind of case fan should I get? I want to make sure the CPU and GPU to stay cool to maintain performance and longevity.

I honestly don't think that another case fan is going to matter. Paul's hardware did a review of the Antec Lanboy air with 15 case fans and it made little difference as to the temperature of the components. Balanced airflow is much more important than amount of fans. You have 2 exhaust 120 mm fans in that case and with a kraken x61 you would have 2 intake at 140 mm. Now you have to take into account as well that the radiator will obstruct the airflow from the 140mm fans resulting in slightly less intake which should balance out with the exhaust of the 2 120 mm fans. It's inadvisable to get another case fan because then you will have too much negative pressure in your airflow of the case resulting in air seeping into the case from the minute openings and cracks rather than through the intake fans. This promotes dust causing you to have to clean your PC more often. Alternatively positive pressure (more intake than exhaust) airflow can be slightly higher temperatures (negligible increases unless you have extreme cases of positive pressure) however will have less dust because air will escape those minute passages and openings in the case. The best is a balanced or neutral airflow which both promotes cooling and low dust.
