1440p Graphics Card

Hi, I'm gonna make this quick and simple.
1. Games - GTA V, Battlefield 1, and Cities: Skylines at 1440p 60Hz (high settings is fine)
2. Prefer Nvidia Shadowplay
3. Prefer CUDA Cores for image processing
4. I have 3 months before school starts next year to get my hands on a graphics card
So yeah, should I buy Pascal, Vega, or really commit to waiting for Volta because there really aren't any cards I can get that fit all 4 categories.

I don't know what your budget is? A 1070 as mentioned will be nice, I used to have a 1080@2560x1440p and couldn't max all settings on some games, (GTAV, Andromeda) so if you want high to max settings go for a 1080 especially now it's dropped in price due to the 1080Ti.

A 1070 will be completely fine if the most demanding game you are playing is battlefield 1, even at ultra and you want only high settings.

GTA V is not demanding at all like the other guy said, I played it fine at like 80fps 1440p on my gtx 670
just put post fx on high which makes no difference but disables motion blur, dont put max shadows, and extra graphics menu is not needed
but you not need doing that on a 1070

Ah maybe you didn't have long shadows etc enabled or AA, it also depends on which part of the map you are playing on.

Oh sorry, I have an absolute maximum budget of $370, can't go higher. This doesn't include taxes.

Then you should definitely get a 1070. A 1070 is your best bet, although I think a 6GB 1060 or RX 580 or even a used GTX 980Ti (even 980) will do what you ask for. 60FPS near continuous at 1440p High doesn't take that much. If you added Ghost Recon Wildlands to the list I'd say 1070 or higher.

1070 is great for that budget. I use a 1060 6gb at 1440p and it does really well, but i'm happy to not run max settings. Ive found on most games, there's little noticeable difference beyond "high" and you still get great fps.

If you look at the used market then 980 tis can sometimes be had for cheaper and also perform very well at 1440p.
