Hello Tom's hardware

I am asking the Tom's Hardware community for help with compiling a build or two within the frame of $700-800. I would also need Windows 10 OS.
I play RPG's, Shooters, online shooters/survival games, some sims.
I expect to be able to play at 1080p high settings for nearly everything out there as I have viewed plenty of similar builds; yet wish to add another to my top list of part choices to decide on a build I will be upgrading to this year.

it would be a pointless exercise unless you're planning to buy within the week. things will be suggested because of the price and when you decide to buy the prices/products may no longer be available .

I would have to agree prices fluctuate quite a bit. Sometimes you can get stuff super cheap. My total build that I actually own cost under a grand but about a month ago I was thinking of selling it and when I put all the parts together on pcpartpicker it came up to $1,300

i know you're trying to help.. but imagine finding gpu , cpu ram and mobo now .. and then in 3 months .. you go to buy it and none of the stuff is relevant any more !! so you have to look again. coffee lake , vega gpus skylake x threadrippers etc etc may all have changed how the market looks when the OP goes to buy

Just a hair over but it has everything you need for it. If you don't need the monitor/keyboard/mouse, you could jump to a 1600 and a 570. You could also dump the SSD and do the same thing

Adiec did you really just want to try and bash someone so bad as to not read my previous comment. That's exactly what I said. But the basics of what I wrote will still be relevant in three months it's not like an i5 and a 1060 are somehow not going to be able to play games at high/ultra in three months just because Vega dropped. He wanted an example of what to get I gave him a very general one that he could go on the sight and pick the parts he wanted and have basis to go by.
