hello everyone,

I just bought a HP pavilion 15-aw017ca. I didn't plan on playing games on this laptop, as i purchased it pretty much only for work. However, I was searching the web and found out they still make Anno games which i was quite fond of when I was younger. The graphics card i have in the laptop is AMD Radeon R7. I have no clue what that is comparable too or what it can handle. My question is, Will my computer play Anno 2205? ill post the specs of my computer below and the system requirements the game wants. Thank you very much for any help.

My laptop,
Processor: AMD Quad-Core A12- 9700 APU (2.5GHZ, up to 3.2GHz, 2mb cache)
8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM
AMD Radeon R7 graphics

System Requirements,
Processor: Intel core i5 2400s @ 2.5 Ghz or AMD FX 4100 @ 3.6 GHz
8 Gb RAM
nVidia Geforce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD7970 or better ( 2048mb VRAM or more, with shader model 5.0)

Ive just copied what the websites say. I have no clue what any of these numbers mean as i am a useless with this stuff, thanks again!

Damn, that leaves me a little salty. The guy at staples told me this will be okay playing games on it. I wish i was better informed before purchasing this thing. Just out of interest, If you were buying a computer for work and playing occasional games, whats specs would you look for? Thanks buddy

It was on sale for $659. Walked out of there paying $925 canadian dollars for Microsoft Office and some Internet protection. I checked the receipt and if I'm not satisfied, I get 14 days to return it.

Unfortunately, I think I can only exchange it for something at staples. They will probably only give me a store credit. I could probably go another $300, making my budget close to $1000. What specs should I look out for? Thank you very much for all your help.

Damn, lemme run this by you, if I was to buy a desktop, could I use a tv as a screen? I'm just trying to see what options I have.

As long as it's good at doing all the other stuff computers do. I also have 160gbs of music, so something that can work with all that.
