Hey all,
My google-fu came up that since Windows XP does not support TRIM, I'd need a manufacturer specific tool to perform the TRIM manually.
I plan to dual boot XP and Windows 7 on 2 seperate SSDs on my HTPC, with both SSDs being hooked up all the time, my question here is, would Windows 7 automatically TRIM the SSD that my XP is installed on when I boot into Win 7, or would I have to do it manually like in XP?
My HTPC case has a slim drive slot, and I am still deciding whether to install a SSD cage to swap between the XP/Win 7 SSDs, or go dual boot with the 2 SSDs wired in the case, and use a Slim CD/DVD drive. The above is one factor.
Thanks!
