for some reason my pc freezes randomly for about 8-10 seconds then goes back to normal.

this only happens when im using a SSD.

i swapped it with a harddrive and this never happens.

i contacted the SSD manufacturer and they sent me a brand new one, but the freezes still happens.

i changed the sata cable/port for the SSD and it does not fixes anything.

i changed the power cable and it still doesn't fix it.

someone help please

my pc spec

r7 1700
msi b350 tomahawk
16gb ddr4 @ 3200mghz
512gb mushkin ssd
3tb hard drive
512gb hard drive (so 3 drives intotal)
750w evga PSU
gtx780

i have not OC the cpu yet.

because there is no system crash, i don't get any reports so i still can't figure out why.

running windows 10 pro

i installed the board sata driver, but in device manager it says its a raid controller. i'm not using my harddrives in raid so is it really relevant?

also i update my bios to the latest version already*

i'll post more if the freezing is still there.

Were you able to correct the freezing issue? I have been having this same issue with my new ryzen system. Approximately 10 second screen freezes then back to normal, happens at random times.

It turns out that it was SSD problem.
Apparently Mushkin SSD doesnt work well. I swapped out with a Adata one and it worked fine.
