Hello everyone,

I am going to build my new gaming PC soon and have ordered some of my parts already.

I was planning on going with the Asus Z270E Gaming mobo and Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x8GB 3000Mhz CL15. However, while doing more research into compatibility I noticed that this ram is not listed on this mobo's sheet for compatible ram: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/STRIX_Z270E_GAMING/Strix-Z270E-Gaming_memory_QVL.pdf?_ga=1.50156262.1714188331.1483854305

Since I have already ordered the ram and can still return it I was wondering if I would have any compatibility issues. I like the looks of the dominator platinum so if i could stick with it, i would like to. I'm going with an Intel i5-7600k and Samsung 960 EVO 250gb if that is of any relevance for compatibility.

I hope anyone can clear this up for me. Maybe if the ram isn't listed on the sheet it does not necessarily have to mean that it is not compatible? Thanks in advance!

The ram qvl is just a list of crap they've had sitting on hand and tossed it in a board and it booted up at stock 2133 speeds. Not being on there means nothing. Perhaps it didn't work (one in 10,000) or perhaps they didn't have that kit on hand they day they threw memory at that board so it's not technically on the list (the other 9,999) just try it it should work perfectly.

Yup, they would work well (even though not listed in the mobo's QVL).

A lot of builds have used that pair (Z270E with Dominator Platinum 2x8GB 3000MHz). Here are some builds:

The CPU (i5-7600K) and the SSD (Samsung 960 EVO 250gb) will work too.
