Hi,
So I've received this nice upgrade to my former material.
When I turn the pc on, 2x gpu fans start rotating and a few seconds later stop.
In win10 the graphics adapter is recognized as nothing else but a Microsoft generic adapter.
Any attempt to upgrade the driver will either result in an error when performed from windows (through update driver option) or in a "driver successfully installed " with no change (still generic adapter) after the reboot.
It very much looks to me like a conflict between the mobo and the gc...

Any ideas ? (Obviously already updated mobo bios with no improvement)

Solution
OK, solved (at last !!) and I still have absolutely no clue wtf it was...
Tried to install it on another PC without success (actually I had nothing on screen at all).

Solution was : install another nvidia based graphics card (an old 7800GT) and start installing the nvidia generic drivers. Failed at some point (as there are no drivers for win10 I could find). Put the 1060 back in, and it did finish the installation...

Since then it's been working fine. And as said, I have absolutely no clue what prevented it from installing previously. (but it does work now)
Try to download and install "Display Driver Uninstaller" (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html). It will remove all previous drivers associated with your previous graphics cards for a clean install of your current GTX 1060. Check for the most recent driver in Nvidia for your GTX 1060 and download/install that. See if the issue would be resolved.

Hi John.
Sorry for the late answer as I just came back from a weekend abroad. Just tried your suggestion but without success. Nvidia drivers wouldn't install, pretending to be incompatible with the version of windows (despite they fully auto detected )
Got access to a working computer now. Will try to swap the graphics cards to see (at least confirm my 1060 is ok)

Will give some more news tomorrow. And thanks for the help so far.
