TV on HDMI periodically turns purple. Not a cable issue. Not a GPU issue. Not a TV issue. Tested all.

How it looks like: https://goo.gl/photos/K4T66Rc5PfgcF7gM8

It goes purple then normal then purple, spending maybe 30 seconds to a minute and a half on each of these color states.

I tried connecting to two different HDMI cables and the behaviour is the same on both of them. I've also tried connecting a different TV to the same HDMI port on the same PC with the same cables and it works flawlessly. Interesting thing is that when I connect this TV to a set-top box via the same HDMI cable it also works flawlessly so the TV itself is not broken.

One small thing I wanna mention is that it's like it "shuts off" signal for a second (TV goes blank) when switching between normal and weirdly pinkish state.

TV model : Sony KDL-32BX400

How often does this color inversion happen?

Can you manually reproduce this error?

Did you keep your device manager open prior and during the odd color change? It sounds as if this may be a driver/PSU issue.Have you looked to your Event Viewer for the exact time(s) this change takes place?

Have you made your TV angry somehow?

I had a similar issue. Well it was this black and red snow but still it was a discoloration issue. The prime suspects were my GPU, TV or cable. If I restarted my GFX card's driver all would be fine. Unfortunately that TV died before I was able to nail down the cause. Fast forward a few months later when I could finally afford to purchase a new TV. Intermittent display issues happened. I blamed the TV. Long story short, I purchased a new HDMI cable(HDMI 1.4a). It fixed the issue. So very odd that the cable would cause color issues on one device and then no signal errors on another. But, it did.

I can probably place a safe bet. I'd wager a response that if you took a screenshot during one of its episodes the screenshot would come back normal.
