Hello everyone. I was thinking of getting this laptop https://www.razerzone.com/c/Razer-Blade-Stealth-H2/p/RZ09-01962E52-R3U1 if you scroll all the way down, it is in the center of the three models.

I will be playing some light games like Overwatch, nothing too demanding anyways, plus that I will be going to college after a couple of years so I thought that it is perfect for me.

The price in my country is $1390 in my country which is a bit cheaper than this macbook pro https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=MF839LL/A&step=config# (for $1416 in my country) that I was planning to get and is also more capable.

Please let me know your opinion about it.
Thanks

well, it isnt a bad laptop, but you have to clarify if youre going to use it mostly for gaming or mostly for browsing and other stuff. If you want a laptop with longer battery life and less power, it is a great choice, but if you want more power, you can get a lot better laptop with less money. dont get the macbook for sure. Look into a laptop with dedicated graphics for gaming

Thanks

But I read that it doesn't do gaming bad (I have an old laptop and I play Overwatch on a stable 30 fps so ANYTHING above that is good for me lol).

Well I need both. Being that I will go to college soon, I need battery, good size, kinda performance, although not much (other than gaming it's coding) so I found that this is a solid option.

Can you give the names of other laptops so I can check the price and stuff?

Personally I wouldn't buy it due to the small screen.
Most laptops are 15" large screens on laptops are 17".
The CPU ends with a U so it's Ultra low power and that means not as fast as many others.
Intel graphics :(
WOW..
If you ask me that laptop is a ripoff. For that kind of money you could get a great laptop.

This laptop makes that Razer Ultrabook look like garbage.

Generally laptops perform much better than Ultrabooks because of their significantly increased cooling ability.

This one has a smaller SSD but even cheaper:

But this laptop is QHD, your old laptop was 768p. This laptop has twice as many pixels as your old one does. So you would have to lower the resolution to 720p which looks really bad on a QHD screen.

Ummmm the part where you gave me the exact resolution of my current laptop kind creeped me out cuz it is 768p XD. Any better options that you have?

using an i3 7100u and intel hd 620 with low settings and 1366x768 resolution with 75% render scale you get between 30 and 50 fps...performance shouldnt change much with an i7 7500u, maybe a bit but not hugely.

Haha, I am not a stalker, 768p is just the standard definition for laptops.

Although it looks like a nice computer, you will definitely want to find something that has a discrete video card if you want to do any regular gaming. If you are looking for something portable and won't game too much, then it looks good. The only thing I see that I don't like is the fact that it uses ddr3 memory instead of ddr4.

How are you people just assuming my specs XD. It is an i7-3632QM, and some radeon dedicated graphics. Dunno about the render scale tho.

Thx anyways

Yeah you're right about the RAM part. Can you give the names of similar laptops that fit my needs?

Thanks

i was not assuming your specs, sorry for the misunderstanding. I've seen some benchmarks and i've seen that with an i3 7100u you get 30-50 fps

I own a dell gaming 7567. I think it's a great laptop, but it's a gaming laptop, with a lot of power <and short battery life, quite loud fans and pretty bulky, so i bought it only for the power, not for the portability

Yeah the only reason I am getting a laptop is for portability so that won't help me.

Yeah I had this option in mind but just the 9550 (the one you attached is the 9560) is for $1580 in my country which is a little bit too rich for my blood.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from AtomicSnipe : "Which laptop should I get?"

Am I allowed to suggest an alternative as both are terrible for games (even overwatch) as they are now. Also don't get the mac as you'll have to use windows for most games and colleges don't often have osx alternatives.

I have no idea why it merged the two threads lol.

Alright yeah go ahead, although prices and availability are different in my country but just give me the name and I'll search. I have a Windows bootable USB stick so I am fine I guess lol.
