Hello people of Tom's Hardware!
I have finally gotten all the parts to build my first ever PC. I began my build without a hitch, but now I'm stuck. The standoffs on my case (NZXT Noctis 450) were VERY hard to get out (I eventually did it with extreme difficulty using a wrench). I never thought it would be such a challenge to do something so seemingly simple. Well, I thought, that's out of the way. I began to install my standoffs onto my MSI Z270 SLI motherboard. It was not easy, but I was able to install 6 of them. Will I be okay not installing the others? It's damn well near impossible to do and I think I may have broken a few of them while unscrewing them out because they do not reach the bottom of the back chassis. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Solution
Not sure how you tried to install them, so here's how it should be done:

1. Install standoffs into case, at those and only those points, where motherboard has mounting holes.
2. Put motherboard on standoffs. Line up holes with standoffs (sometimes it needs some force due to prongs on the back of IO shield)
3. Fasten motherboard to standoffs with screws.
