Can't connect to the internet with a new router

I got an older router TPLink WR741N and I can't get it to work at all, I tried almost everything and now I don't know what to do. Before I had a simple switch (older TLSF1005D) so I didn't have to worry about anything since it is just a switch but now the router doesn't cooperate.
The problem that Win Troubleshooter tells me is ''DNS not responding''. I tried changing it to various combinations according to many guides on youtube with no luck.
Anyone knows what to do? I can post any image you want me to (I don't really know what to post in here right now since I can't recognize what's the most important stuff).
Thanks!

Solution
I got it, it works now.
All I had to do was to change IP adress of the router since it collided with the IP of the modem. Sorry but I didnt really understand these "easy" things. Now I'm a bit smarter.
Thanks anyway!

My ISP is Internet4you.cz.
I already tried unplugging the modem as well. After that the troublesgooter shown me I got a problem with my modem (communication between the modem and the router I guess) and that I should restart the modem - I restarted it again to no change.
