So i asked before on another thread about this. But i bought a z170-a from Asus around christmas time, i dont have any Cpu yet still and i am looking into thr i7 7700k. But my board does not seem to have the bios update for it, by the time i get my cpu it will be awhile, but is there a way to update my bios so i can run the i7 7700k with no processor? Probably not possible, but if there is a way how? And if not should i get a board that support the 7700k or just get the 6700k????

Theres little difference between the 6700 and the 7700, probably nothing noticeable to the everyday user to be honest, so its up to you which route you take, the alternative is you can take the board into a local shop and get them to update the bios for...

You can update BIOS manually on many boards; though not without a CPU.

How long do you have to wait between a 6700K and 7700K? I'd consider getting the CPU that is most cost efficient and timely.

I'd much rather have a system up and running on a 6700K (with extra money saved), than a useless motherboard waiting for a chip.
