MSI B350 Tomahawk
r7 1700
nvidia 1050 ti

No screen signal either with hdmi or vga entry when the gpu is on the mobo. The leds turn on in the orther: cpu; vga. The cpu is then swithched off but the vga remains on.

No screen signal when the gpu is off and with the hdmi entry.

What to do? Bought the desktop hours ago.

Solution
Check your motherboards CPU power plug is plugged up correctly. Do you have a DVI cable? Test with it as its possible you have a bad HDMI cable.

Yes yes, everything is plugged correctly (i suppose).

I have even tried: removing the gpu; discharging the timing battery of the MB; placing the battery again; pluging in the hdmi entry; several reboots.

Nothing. No signal of the screen.

Which ram are you using ?

Also, on these newer boards, removing the battery doesnt work to clear the bios, you HAVE to use the jumper on the motherboard, use something clean and metal to connect the 2 pins together for about 10 seconds, flat head screw driver, car key, kitchen knife etc, and go back to using 1 stick of ram for now in slot A2.
