I don't think that XP is even available anymore. Even if it was, there were compatibility and performance issues with the 64-bit version in respect to drivers. Moving to 64 bit XP wasn't considered an upgrade, even when it was available.

Have you tried running in compatibility mode?
I don't think that they will run any better in 64 bit XP either, as compatibility with games was another of its weaknesses.

64bit win xp will have the same problems as whatever os you are using now. 32 bit xp is better for older games as it also works with the 16bit instruction set.
Most of my old games won't work on my 5930k with 980ti so I picked up a sandybridge computer for free thew in 8gb ram replaced the CPU with a 3770 got an ssd and called it a day figured that would be fine since the board supports xp32bit but wanted 64 bit if possible if it's going to play right

Just keep 32 bit xp. The 64 bit version was a failed version anyways.
