My computer just randomly shuts down. The screen goes black, you can hear sound yet, the fan kicks into high gear and I have to manually turn it off. I have read this could be an issue with the CPU not being strong enough. I have an EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3, with ASRock Z270 KILLER motherboard, Intel Core i5-processor, EVGA GeForce GTX 1060, and G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 Just wondering if it is possibly just not working right or just not enough before I go and buy a bigger one.

Solution
You wrote "I have read this could be an issue with the CPU not being strong enough."; honestly that doesn't make much sense. Your issue probably is caused by the GPU, not the CPU. Stress test the CPU with Prime95 26.6 if you have a weak cooler or with the latest version if your cooler is very good; then stress test the GPU with Furmark GPU Stress Test or a similar application. Hopefully the issue will occur while stress testing the CPU or the GPU.
