so, I play minecraft and some other games on my pc I have a rx 470 and a i5 6500, And my friend has a GTX 950 and a i5 6500. So, in minecraft he gets around 400-600 fps while I get 200-400 with the newist drivers for the MSI RX 470. So yeah if any one can tell me how to fix my fps problem thnx!

The 470 is the better card. As to why this is happening, it's hard for me to say without knowing every detail of game and computer. For instance, maybe you run at higher settings than he does and with more mods? Maybe your computer has many unnecessary processes running in the background while his computer is tuned for gaming?

You can start by testing your computer. Run some benchmarks to make sure you are getting the performance your CPU/GPU combo should be giving you. Don't use Minecraft as a benchmark.

Minecraft is all dependent on other factors than graphics card and CPU usage. I heard that minecraft is mostly CPU intensive, but it also takes GPU power to run it. Would you provide us with the full specs of both computers? Minecraft usually relies on other kinds of data, such as minecraft version, Optifine or not, what kinds of graphics settings you're running, RAM usage, etc. It all depends!

i think you have to make do with it. AMD in general have issues with OpenGL. even Raja Koduri outright admit it before that AMD did not put much effort on OpenGL and put their focus more on Vulkan instead. btw you already get very good frame rate. so i don't think it was a problem to you.
