I have been trying to find a good coolant for my water cooling PC I'm going to build and have been going in circles. I really like the look of Mayhem's Blue (Light blue not dark) Pastel coolant but have seen some bad reviews. Is the color changing caused by the heat of the build or touching a certain metal? Is there a better blue opaque coolant or is the pastel coolant not that bad?

My recommendation is distilled water, yes. The only additives I really use are anti-microbials to prevent growth in the water. Dyes are also safe because they are so minimal in content, although most do stain tubing.

I personally don't recommend any coolants, to be honest. At most, I can really only say that dyes would be the safest bet.

Coolants that are used for watercooling are primarily done so for color, which can also be achieved via other means. The only time I would recommend a coolant is when using potentially dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion or in situations where extremely low temperatures might be seen.

So distilled water with dye would be the best?
