upgrading cpu/stock cooler

Im wondering if i need to remove my whole motherboard to upgrade my cpu. Currently using a stock cooler i have heard with other coolers like the cooler master hyper you need to access the back plate but ill be using the normal stock cooler that the cpu comes with. So just curious will i need to remove my motherboard to successfully install my new cpu or can i keep it in the case and proceed installing the new cpu, appreciate any feedback

No, you won't need to remove the motherboard. It might make it easier, though.

You will need to either clean the old cooler and apply new paste, or use a new cooler and new paste. Your new CPU probably comes with a new cooler and pre-applied paste.

I assume you've checked that your new CPU is compatible with your motherboard?

thank you. Im just not trying to deal with putting the board back in and possibly messing things up. But i do know how to install the cpu and fan witch is easy. Also yes i do know witch cpu is compatible with my board i haven't purchased it yet. Just needed more insight on it. Id rather do it my self then paying someone else to do such a easy job. If i have to remove board i would feel more comfortable having someone else do it. But if that isn't the case then i shouldn't have any problems due to it being pretty simple installation
