So I created an $1100 White Build and would like some input on it and see if you guys think it will run what I want it to. My goal is to play almost any game on Ultra at 60+ FPS on a 1080p 144hz monitor. Will this do that for me? If not what will it get me? Also would like to just know opinions on whether I could use VR with this. Probably will be purchasing in about a month.
Also Suggestions are extremely welcome. And dont worry about Windows. I just wanna figure out the hardware right now.

why would you want 60fps on a 144Hz monitor??
I'd upgrade to a 1070, with a few (optical) adjustments no problem:

the 1700 will need some (easy) overclocking at times.
otherwise go for a 1600X

Hmm well I heard somewhere that basically 60hz sucks for gaming so idk lol... And originally I was thinking about going with the ryzen 1600. Would that be fine? That way I can get some of the (optical) stuff back?

I'd lower the CPU to the R5 1600 and improve on the graphics more so you'll be at 100+ fps most of the time, which is already incredibly smooth.

Yea, for gaming a Ryzen 5 1600 is still a very capable processor! a 1070 and maybe a 2tb HDD, seeing as they cost only very little more, are the only changes I would make!

there are many people gaming on 60Hz. 144Hz feels smoother but it's only really beneficial in competetive shooters
60Hz means the display can show you 60 different frames per second.
that's why you want to stay above 60fps, so no frame is shows twice, which makes the image feel sluggish
with 144Hz you'd want to match the refreshrate with 144 frames per second.
because of the high refreshrate it doesn't matter as much as with 60Hz to get the target fps, but I'd still would want way over 100

Unless rendering, a 1600 or 1700 won't see much improvement over a 1500X.
This is especially prevalent in the $1100 price range where a much better GPU can be had as a result.
@OP, get this.

Okay, cause I have not bought a monitor yet, so should I go with a 1080p 60hz? or what about 1440p at 60hz?

The above comment is vastly incorrect, the framerate does not need to be 144fps to be smooth, it can run any varying level in between very well. The difference between that and 60Hz is extremely evident even in single player games; i'd say more so since you can take the time to really look at the image rather than focus on the game all the time.
Get the monitor I added to the list.

was this directed towards my statement?
If so, I might have expressed myself inprecisely

I was just stating that with a 144Hz screen you need 144fps if you don't want to see the same frame twice.
depending on the refresh rate and the fps-gap this can feel sluggish and unsmooth. 40fps @60Hz is a pain, 120fps @144Hz is not that noticable.
however it makes little to no sense gaming on a 144Hz screen, if you're only getting 70fps. you should at least get over 100.

If you stick on V-Sync it makes it a lot smoother, and regardless it'll still be better than 60. :p
Agree on the at least 90FPS thing though, that's where the major difference starts to show.
With a 1070 that shouldn't be an issue.

Traded out your psu the seasonic is way better and cheaper I have it in my rig. The 1070 msi quick silver is a great card and matches your build beautifully. I lowered your processor so you could get the better GPU and stay under budget plus you don't need the one you picked for gaming at what you want.

Btw I play on my Asus GTX 1070 strix at 1440p 60fps ultra settings and also at 1080p 120fps ultra depending on the game with no problems and the 1070 is great for VR gaming. You had some great part choices and I didn't want to change the look you were going for the only thing I didn't like was the psu it's very important to get a good one and icwould never suggest going with a psu under 80+ gold. And seasonic is a trusted brand and we'll reviewed.

https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/how-does-psu-efficiency-affect-me-and-do-i-really-need-an-80-plus-gold-power-supply.129456/

Yup means nothing they just put it there for fun... seriously I'm sick of people up here that try and one up other people all the time and did I not say that the seasonic is a very well reviewed brand I mean seriously.

It's all about the efficiency and I prefer the 80+ gold.

what he means is, efficiency says nothing about the quality of a PSU
you can have a Platinum PSU that is group regulated, doesn't have OVP or OCP and uses 75°C Capxon caps.
efficiency is like the least important thing when it comes to PSUs, especially in the 400-800W department

Issue with V-sync is that it induces microstuttering if your graphics card isn't pushing out enough frames. Honestly the microstuttering is a deal breaker for me, I stay as far away from V-Sync as possible!

Above builds look good so far.

Just concurring with above PSU statements, the 80+ efficiency rating doesn't make the Power Supply good. For reference there are Tier 4/5 Power Supplies (which is very bad) that are 80+ Gold certified and not just one. If this list was more up to date there would probably be more too. See here > http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
