Right so to start off, here's my specs:

i7-4790K overclocked to 4.6GHz
NZXT Kraken X62
2 x 8GB DDR3 G.Skill Trident-X 2400 MHz
ASUS Z87-A
OS SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
New SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB
HDDs: WD Black & Green 3TB
Coolermaster MasterCase 5 Pro
Corsair HX750i

I recently purchased the 850 EVO 1TB to store all my storage-hungry games that I felt would benefit from being on an SSD (Arma 3, Total War Warhammer, Fallout 4, GTA 5) since my 840 EVO 250GB wasn't big enough to fit both the OS and all the games I wanted to put on there.

So obviously the process of installing new storage isn't particularly difficult, you just mount it in your case, hook up the power and SATA cable and head into the OS to format it. That all went perfectly fine and the SSD works.

However, the issue is that the OS seems to detect my new SSD as another 840 EVO 250GB. Here's a screenshot from task manager that shows this:

Furthermore Userbenchmark also seems to detect them as the same SSD despite using different firmware.

Now I think it's because the two SSDs are using the same Windows driver, so it doesn't differentiate between them, is there anyway to fix this?

Well just to clarify, I'm certain I purchased an 850 EVO 1TB - the packaging says as much and Samsung Magician says so as well. The firmware for the 850 EVO is up to date according to Samsung Magician as well.
