Hi! I have a fujitsu p556 e85+
I'm not so expert with desktop pc

PSU started to make a strange sound so I would like to change it.

this is my old 280w PSU s26113-e611-v70-01 (175 x70 x 90 mm)

could I upgrade it? I would like more power for a new gpu

mobo is fujitsu d3400-A11 GS 2

I found this old thread
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3257804/psu-pre-built.html

could you help me?

i think it is a normal mainboard and since it is a normal size case, you can put in there a 500 watt psu from evga or corsair to power a gpu

i can't see the psu picture, but the image of the case and the mainboard tells me that it uses a normal psu so i would get a new psu and add the gpu

It uses normal connectors but an abnormal psu size. You can use a normal psu ion that pc but the psu will most likely not fit in the case.

from the picture looks like a normal case, but if this is the shape of the psu you see there

and this is what you see form the back of the case

yes, it will not fit any normal psu, no idea what psu is that, it has weird length, width and depth

you can buy a gtx 1050ti and keep using the psu it has now and avoid buying another

also you could modify the case, but i am talking about measuring, cutting and drilling the metal of the case, not a easy task

The FUJITSU Desktop ESPRIMO P556/E85+ uses a custom 250W continuous (280W peak) Chicony Power Technology power supply that is based only on 12 Volts DC.

If you look at the motherboard power connector it only has 16 pins. There are no +3.3V or +5V rails in the power supply unit.

Or he could just get a cheap case and put the whole pc in there with the new psu. Doesn't have to be anything fancy evena 24$ case would do and be of similar quality as the lenovo one.

in that picture i see a normal 24 pin psu connector, no idea where you got that 16 pin information

i would get the new psu disassemble entirely the pc, take outside the case, measure the space where i would have to cut to leave space for the air vents on the psu, cut, drill the holes ofr the screws on the psu

reassemble and enjoy

still, it is possible that the psu in it will power up well a gtx 1050ti, surely will be able to power a gt1030, it only uses 30 watts

According to Fujitsu's own documentation there are two motherboard versions for the Fujitsu D3400. One of the motherboard versions has only the 16-pin 12V connector soldered on and no 24-pin connector (only the empty solder pads). The other version has the common 24-pin ATX power connector soldered on along with a 4-pin CPU power connector.

I opened my pc case this evening and i checked mobo connector. Yes it is a 16 pins connector

That adapter won't work. It doesn't even come close to being correctly wired for the Fujitsu motherboard.
