Better GPU for 1080p

Hey guys, would it be better to get a GTX 1060 6GB or an RX 580 8GB for 1080p gaming? I know the memory sounds a bit overkill, but these the ones I can find in stock at Micro Center.

I personally had two of rx 580's sapphire nitro +. I used both nvidia and amd gpu's. Personally due to the problems I had while pairing the amd card with intel rigs (pentium g4560 and i5 7500) I don't reccomend the rx's. Take the gtx 1060 6gb it's better in my opinion. Both of amd cards I had didn't ran nicely. A lot of my friends have gtx 1060's and these are really good cards. In my opinion you should get the cheapest 1060 6gb that you can find. Hope I helped!
