Do you need an asus aura sync compatible motherboard to use aura sync on dram?

I am building a computer and I have bought the trident z rgb ram and I have bought a msi motherboard that doesn't use aura sync.

Is it still possible to use aura sync on my ram even if my motherboard isn't compatible?

Dont use any software to control the ram for the time being, not unless you want to kill your ram, just stick with the rainbow effect out of the box, thankfully I managed to fix mine today after I wasnt willing to RMA a 3rd kit, but it did cost me $16 in software to do it, 2 kits lost XMP profiles and SPD data got corrupt, and today my 3rd kit started doing it too, but like I said I managed to fix it, its the software thats doing it as it controls the LEDs via addresses in the SPD data and corrupts it at...
