Greetings

I'm building my PC soon and wanted to make sure I downloaded all the needed drivers for my Asus Z270 Prime-A motherboard. Here is the Asus driver site for my board:

https://www.asus.com/us/support/Download/1/50/8/7/raDdHADFSa42GEuM/45/

I know I need the chipset, audio and lan drivers. Do I need anything else? The VGA driver is for the onboard videocard (I have a GTX 1070) so I don't need the VGA driver? Do I need to install the Sata driver or anything else?

Also when I update my BIOS (Assuming my motherboard will come with an outdated BIOS), will I lose all the current settings? Or will the settings stay when I update the BIOS? I'm planning on updating the BIOS before installing Windows 10 64 bit.

Thanks

Solution
I would do the following:

1) Update BIOS (PRIME Z270-A BIOS 0906) from Asus Website

2) Set basic settings in BIOS such as RAM, Boot Order, etc.

3) Install Windows 10 64-bit

4) Install drivers and updates:

4.1) Chipset (Intel(R) Management Engine Interface V11.6.0.1026) from Asus Website
4.2) Chipset (Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V10.1.1.38) from Asus Website
4.3) LAN (Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Driver V21.1.30.0) from Asus Website
4.4) SATA (Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver software V15.5.0.1051) from Asus Website
4.5) Audio (Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.7997) from Asus Website
4.6) Any other drivers and utilities from Asus Website (optional)
4.7) Nvidia GTX 1070 Driver (latest) from Nvidia Website
4.8) Windows...
