a couple days ago the North bridge heatsink from my Mb detached, i had temps around 75 load and the cpu was throttling, in game fps droped to 20.
I've applied new thermal paste on the chipset but it's still moving and the temps are high.
I feel like the cpu will start to throttle again.
My mobo : asus m5a78l-m usb3
fx 6300
gtx 660
My question is what should i do to make the heatsink not moving.
Apologies for my bad english.

i don't understand hot that happened, those latches should keep the heatsink locked in place

reinstall them, if they got broken and the spring is missing, you could try installing a screw and a bolt to keep things licked in site, similar ot what you install on a custom cooler for a cpu
