Cpu underclocking from 4.40ghz to 3.80ghz

Over clocked my amd 4300 cpu to 4.40ghz but when playing games task manager displays 3.80-3.89ghz

Specs:
Amd 4300 fx
Nvidia 1050ti oc
8gb ram

Its your motherboard. It cant handle the amount of voltage your CPU needs to run at that speed. If it kept feeding it that voltage, the VRMs on your motherboard would either blow, catch fire, or fry. There is nothing that can be done to help the issue besides buying a better motherboard. At that point you would be better off buying a new cpu as well to go with a new motherboard.
