i got this laptop in september of 2017 but now want to build my own pc. the laptop is an acer aspire it has 16 gb of ram a full hd screen 15 inches 1tb hardrive hdd an nvdia geforce 940 m 3gb vram an intel core i7 6500u 2.5 ghz

Did you even attempt to answer the question, or did you see laptop and think "not for gaming".

I would say that laptop would be 400-600 depending on condition and buyer, plus other factors such as the HDD size and speed.
