Okay, I don't know which category this goes under since my idea is crazy. Here we go.

I bought a new power supply for my PC to support other things I upgraded to today. He is the problem: I don't have an atx 12v as a part of my power supply. Not a problem, I bought a converter that's coming in the mail. Everything is fine. Just that one wire will allow my computer to boot up. The problem is, I want to make sure everything is running smoothly since I upgraded a lot. I want to let my 750 power supply stay connected to everything it's connected to. I want to use the atx cable from my old 450w power supply to get it to start up. Is this a wild and dangerous idea, or will it work?

To put it simply, I want to use one power supply of 750w connected to the main stuff. I want the 450w power supply to connect to the atx 12v in my PC. Bad or good idea?
