Hey,

I very recently built my new computer. Everything was working fine until i realised my pc had only detected 8GB, while I had 2x8GB ram inserted. I read somewhere that I could have broken something in the motherboard (channels), but I'm not sure. Both ram sticks work perfectly fine, I swapped them around and got them both to work, but just not at the same time. If someone knows a solution please tell me!

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z270E
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz 2x8
OS: Windows 10

Solution
look in your motherboards manual you may have put one of the two sticks in the wrong slot because they are not completley filled so they have to be in certin slots to work or else [strike]multichannel[/strike] dual channel memory operation won't work.
