Advice / Recommendations for an external JBOD solution?

Hi everyone,

I want to install several HDDs which already have data on them in the same enclosure. I only need a JBOD system, no RAID, no NAS. Maybe I should add that I am not going to use this for backup purposes.

I currently have two 8TB disks and one 3TB disk that I would like to install in the same enclosure. All disks already have files on them.

The main benefit I am looking for in a JBOD system is to have all disks connected with only one power cable and only one USB cable. I don't want a RAID 0 system because of the data stripping. In the worst case scenario if a drive should fail, I don't want that failure to affect the information on the other disks.

Important for my requirements:
- The enclosure should have 4 bays and support HDD with up to 8TB (total up to 32TB).
- The information on the disk should not be lost when it is installed in the new enclosure.

Here is an enclosure I think may fit my needs:

What do you think? Can generally any multibay enclosure be used for this purpose? Do you have any recommendations?

Any advice and experience with external JBOD systems would be much appreciated.

You'll need to go to single drive mode. JBoD still uses a raid format/file system and if one drive fails you lose the whole array.
I cannot ascertain if single mode will pass the windows file system or if this das will make you reformat to a linux file system (most do)
