In general, there are two fan controllers. Those that are completely internal, e.g NZXT GRID+ V2 or Corsair Commander Mini. And those that fit into 5.25" external bay.
When i was looking 5.25" external bay fan controller for my Skylake build, i also posted a topic here with links to the specs pages of many fan controllers. You can give it a read and look up different fan controllers if you want to get 5.25" external bay one,

Though, to help you choose fan controller, we first need to know which PC case you have and which and how many fans are you planning to plug into the fan controller. Also, knowing your build theme would be nice since there are different colored 5.25" fan controllers available.
