Hello there!

I really need your help guys. I'm desperately trying to find what causes the following problem.
I built my computer 2 months ago. Specs:
CPU: Intel i7-7700k
GPU: GTX 1080 (Gainward Phoenix GLH)
RAM: 16 GB running @2666 Mhz

Ok, so here's the problem: I was really happy with the performance of the graphic card first. I played games
like Witcher 3 and modded Skyrim with good FPS. In the last weeks I only played games like CSGO and Battlegrounds, where you actually can't say how your GPU is performing.
So yesterday I went back to Witcher 3 and suddenly had about 30 fps less than I had weeks ago.
And same problem in other games! The performance dropped overall.

I Made a 3DMark Firestrike check: My GPU Score is at 11000. A 1080 should easily get over 20000!
Furmark Score (Full HD Benchmark): 4417 (74 FPS)

Things I tried:
- Reinstall nvidia Drivers (several times, tried different drivers)
- Settings on maximum performance
- System restore

I also checked the temperatures and the GPU and CPU temperatures are same as they always were.
So it doesnt seem to be a thermal problem.

I really don't know what to do.

Are you sure that your power supply has enough power to run that GPU? Also make sure that you've connected all the power pins on you card.

All pins are properly connected. I have a 650 Watt Power supply, so that should be no problem.
I also tested the PSU, it works properly.

Some more infos:
The CPU usage is at around 20-30% in the benchmarks and almost never gets over 60% in games.
Temperatures are all good as already mentioned. The GPU Usage is at 99%, so it's not bottlenecked by other hardware I guess.

I tried DDU to reinstall the display drivers cleanly.
Still low FPS in games and benchmarks. F.e. in Firestrike Normal benchmark I get only 20 fps in the overall test.
Score is still at 11000

There is definitly something not right, most people have around 110 FPS with those settings or even more

But how do you know it's the card and not something else?

The 4GB Vram displaying is normal. Don't know why, but it is there for everyone with a GTX 1080 on all the results at reddit

Anyway , there is something up with your card. It seems like something up with the core. I had some issue like that with one of rx 580's. It couldn't go higher than 1340 mhz (it was sapphire nitro +) and it was only capable of running the quiet bios preset , the overclocked (1411 mhz) second bios made it crash all the time though so.

EDIT: It always shows 4gb of vram so don't worry , I didn't knew that my bad :)

Yeah , I described to you the problem I had with rx 580. I am not suggesting that your card is damaged in the way that mine was. You understood me wrong. In my opinion you should RMA your card , I am suggesting that it might be something with the core , but the thing I told you about was the problem with my card and I am not suspecting that with your card.
