Asus Expedition vs MSI Gaming X 1050ti

Solution

Both Asus GTX 1050 Ti Expedition and MSI GTX 1050 Ti Gaming X would have the same graphics performance (as they are both aftermarket GTX 1050 Ti). What sets them apart are their differences in cooling, power consumption, and aesthetics. They both are quiet cards.

Noise Levels: SAME
Asus = 37.0 dBA (Idle), 37.1 dBA (Gaming)
MSI = 37.0 dBA (Idle), 37.2 dBA (Gaming)

Thermal Dissipation: MSI
Asus = 28C (Idle), 68C (Gaming)
MSI = 28C (Idle), 62C (Gaming)

Get the msi gaming x if it is the same price. I personally would go for the cheapest 1050 ti that I can find. It's your money and if you want the design take the msi , because of 5 usd of a difference and big difference in loudness. One more thing to mention I know that msi has bad customer support (at least in Poland) , so I would always go for other manufacturers. If it comes to custom 1050 ti's these are my suggestions:

EVGA SUPERCLOCKED now it's discounted and goes for 139 usd - https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-04G-P4-6253-KR/dp/B01MF7EQJZ/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1495967575&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+1050+ti

EVGA 1060 3 gb card version 179 usd , but will be way better - https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-03G-P4-6160-KR/dp/B01KUADE3O/ref=sr_1_10?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1495967575&sr=1-10

Personally I wouldn't add 30 usd more to and get not as good customer support as EVGA provides. Your selected MSI gaming x is a great card but not worth adding 30 usd in my opinion. It's better to get 1060 3 gb version then. 165 usd - https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1050-GAMING/dp/B01MA62JSZ/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1495967575&sr=1-5&keywords=gtx+1050+ti

MSI = 31W (Idle), 113W (Gaming)

It is up to you which one is your priority. If you want better cooling, the MSI certainly wins by a few degrees. If you want lower power consumption, the Asus uses slightly less wattage. Aesthetics-wise is very subjective and only you can decide.

If budget is a grave concern, get the cheapest between the two. You can't go wrong with either.

Thank you so much. I will go for the ASUS since it is quite a bit cheaper in my country (Turkey) and they perform the same.I cannot go for the 1060 because i am on a very tight budget.Again, thank you so much.
