What monitor should I buy for this pc parts list?

I was wondering about whether I should buy a 1080p monitor or a 1440p (2K) monitor. (4K is out of the question because it's WAY outta my budget)

Oh and if I buy a 1080p monitor,it has to be G Sync to avoid screen tearing but if I buy a 2K monitor do I get one with G Sync or no G Sync?

I would appreciate if you guys help me out on this one.Thanks!

I would recommend the Dell S2716DG (27", 1440p, 1ms, 144Hz, G-Sync) which pairs nicely with your GTX 1080 Ti, if it fits your budget.
