Hello!

I was looking at adding another case fan to get better air inside or outside my desktop computer. Though I do not know where to put it or what it should be, exhaust or intake. I have read on other forums that it is best to have a balanced air flow, though others say it is alright to have an extra exhaust/intake fan.

Here is an image of my computers air flow at the moment http://imageshack.com/a/img924/6484/44zjOf.jpg

This is an image of my intake fan, and also where it can be positioned highlighted by the red circles. http://imageshack.com/a/img922/1218/LOHZjI.jpg

There is also a vent on the top of my desktop as well http://imageshack.com/a/img923/3913/3MVbYi.jpg

Any tips or suggestions would be great!

:)

My rig:
Intel core i5-6600
8.00GB Dual-Channel
MSI H1100M PRO-D
NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Solution

Simple rule of fans:
Front & bottom/side = intake
Top and Rear = exhaust.
So if you want to max out your fan slots that's what you do.
Heat rises, so if you want to add more fans it's pretty simple.
Put an extra intake fan in the front, and another exhaust fan on top.

Also I believe the GPU fans actually intake air and then... well it kinda comes out the back of the case/sides of the gpu so having good case flow helps the air not just constantly recirculate.

you could had one in front and another on top also waht is the cfm of the one you already have in the case and put your hdd one slot higher so it will be in the middle of lower fans that will cool him and made a air tunnel below it to cool the gpu .

So you would suggest to get 2 fans, one for intake and the other for exhaust?

Hm, I will consider that. Do you have any cases that you would suggest?
