Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a new graphics card to upgrade from my 750ti, and was wondering if I should wait for the amd rx 500 graphics cards to come back in stock. They don't look to be in stock for a while, but they do have better performance than their nvidia counterparts. I would Ideally like to upgrade sooner, rather than later, due to the fact that games like Just Cause 3 and Far Cry 4, can't run well on my system. Should I wait for the 570/80 to come in stock, or just get a 1060?

Thanks for reading :)

You would have to be on top of when exactly they come in stock, as they won't last more than a couple days because GPU miners mining crypto-currencies buy them up asap. Might as well go with Nvidia, maybe the 9Gbps GTX 1060.

*What CPU do you have and what is your budget?

Yes AMD RX470/480/570/580 is not good with low end CPUs. I also had the EVGA GTX 1060 6GB Superclocked and it was amazing. The superclocked has a much bigger/better cooler than the non-superclocked.

I have a great cpu, it's the i5 6500. No bottleneck problems there. What I thought is I'd buy an msi gtx 1060 for $270 and then get then get a cashback offer of $16 that they're doing at the moment.

Thanks very much. I am looking to buy an msi one, as they're offering some cashback on their gpus at the moment making the 1060 gb about the same price as an rx 570.

Personally I suggest to go for EVGA due to their AWESOME customer service. I had bad experience with msi (even though I have the msi card right now) so I wouldn't recommend this company. Usualy I would go for EVGA and Asus , actualy this msi armor is a very good card , my friend have it now and it really runs cool and great , but I wouldn't get it due to customer service as I mentioned. Still if it is cheaper than the other cards take it. I am only talking about customer service in Poland so I don't know how it is in other countries like Germany etc. My friend from GB had simmilar experience to mine , but still you can get this card if you like it and if it's cheaper :)

Hope that my answer was just a littlebit helpful! :)

Yeah, but to be honest. I just want a graphics card. The msi one is on a deal, and I don't have the budget to go any higher than it, so, I am just gonna go for it. Take a look at this post on Tom's Hardware : http://imgur.com/a/z9DL0
They're all the same really.

GO AHEAD! Just buy it , it's a very good card and I can really recommend it because it overclocks like crazy and runs very cool! It's not loud at all as well. :)

I do agree with that , but this Armor version of gtx 1060 runs with a custom pcb from msi gaming x version. It really overclocks the best out of all of these that I mentioned. At least it did in my case. :)

MSI makes good cards, the Armor is good and the GAMING X is especially good. Different models can be very much different. Such as the RX 470/570 ASUS Strix, is a poor excuse for a "Strix" card and is rather basic in cooling performance, but their RX 480/580 Strix is especially good. EVGA's non-superclocked GTX 1060 has a poor excuse of a cooler while their superclocked has an amazing cooler. Different models can be very much different.

Which MSI model are you looking to buy?

He mentioned that he wants to get the msi one that I suggested so I suppose that the Armor.
