Usually you can not upgrade a CPU on a laptop. Laptops use a type of CPU that has a BGA type socket and it is difficult to replace them. You can upgrade your RAM in a laptop make sure you get DDR3L RAM and your PC can hold a max of 16GB. If you go to this website it has a list at the bottom of a few of the types of ram you can buy : http://www.kahlon.com/result.asp?modelid=680146&memtype=1

For upgrading your storage just make sure you get a 2.5 inch drive. I recommend getting a SSD if you want faster speeds but is more expensive. Here is a link to a HDD that will work with your laptop it is a 1TB Hard Drive and it is a performance drive so you will have faster read/write speeds ...

Hope this helps. If you want a better CPU you will have to take it to a professional and they will probably charge you a hefty price. I prefer just getting a new laptop and Take the RAM and HDD out and save it.

Storage drive? Yes
RAM? Maybe
CPU? If and only if it is NOT a BGA socket. And then, only within a small range of other CPU's. Which will likely not provide any real performance benefit.

So...what CPU and socket does your laptop have?

As far as I know, you can only upgrade Ram and Hard drives in Toshiba's laptops. If you want a laptop you can upgrade CPU's and GPU's then you need to look at a pre 2012 Alienware laptop (used) or if you are looking new, it needs to be a laptop that uses Clevo motherboards. brands include Sager, High end MSI laptops, Origin PC laptops, and Eurocom laptops.

Those are CPU and GPU upgradeable and the only laptops I purchase. No one but the manfacturer's like BGA.
