Hello, so I have a Dell XPS 400, I got a Radeon RX 550 and I plugged it into the motherboard, it has no connectors. The fan on the GPU spins but nothing shows up on screen. When I put in the old GPU it boots up and works fine. The RX 550 needs 400w minimum power supply and mine is 375w, is that the problem? If I get a 500w Corsair power supply will that fix it? The GPU only connects to motherboard and gets power from it, it has no other pins connected to it. Thanks

The first result I got in a search for that model was for a Pentium D computer, is that what you have? Do you realize that videocard, as low cost as it is, is worth more than that entire computer? That computer has the "Intel 945P Express" chipset, that's a very old one. My brother had a board with that in it about 10 years ago!

The point being that it's possible that motherboard just can't handle the newer videocards. It probably has nothing to do with the power supply. If you could return the 550 and get something older, even on the used market, you'd be better off. Something like an AMD HD 7750.

If I want to keep and use it, do you have a recommendation for a motherboard that can support it?

Yeah, it's on Fast boot, nothing happens really, same thing occurs.

Don't you have to disable Fast Boot in order to access the legacy boot options?

Not sure, I disabled it but nothing different really, unless I'm suppose to do something else but in bios it's the same. Tbh I really want to keep this GPU and use it in case I upgrade to a different pc later on, I can still use it. Does anybody know a motherboard that I can get that can use this GPU? Not really a big budget for that motherboard. Around $40 but if it's more I can save up. That's if it is a motherboard issue.
