Hey everybody,

So recently I purchased a GTX 1080ti FTW3, brought it home, was super excited to finally be getting some insane performance, only to find out that something was wrong. I was getting mediocre FPS in almost all my titles. Really bad input lag in BF1, low fps in Far Cry 4, and insane menu lag, dropped FPS etc in most titles. Basically getting worst performance than my GTX 970.

So here is what I did that solved all my issues, and now I'm getting 150-250 fps at 1080p in all my games. (using a 120hz monitor, and I want consistent fps at 1080p)

The steps I used:

1. Use DDU to wipe all Nvidia and or AMD drivers from my system (also free'd up about 13 gigs on my system)

2. Re-installed the latest Nvidia drivers using Geforce Experience

At this point I was seeing some gains in fps but not 1080ti performance. After digging deeper I saw that I wasn't running the latest Windows 10 Creators update.

3. Updated to Windows 10 Creator

Now I'm getting the performace I'd expect out of a $779 GPU.

I hope this helps anyone else having issues with their setup!

My Rig for reference:
Gigabyte z270 Gaming K3 Mobo
i7 7700k at 4.7ghz
16gb Corsair 2666mhz DDR4 Ram
EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3
Corsair H100i AIO Cooler.

Cheers!
