I am using Hero IX motherboard and its on board lan card,
I am planning to change my internet plan to 10G from 1G network.
I am going buying a X540T1 lan card and putting it in my PC but I does not know that is it possible as I have installed a 1080ti SLI in my PC and a 950 evo and some of my friends said I will not have enough PCIE for my lan card.
Can anyone explain to me, what is happening and what should I do?
Thanks in advance

This is one of those questions for the guys who know chipset and motherboards. There are limitation similar to if you had put 3 high end video cards in your machine.

Not sure what impact it would have. If you are playing games to utililze your video cards you will not be using much network capacity. Most games use about 500kbits/sec.....they want people with slow DSL connections to be able to play too. If you are running torrents (which is the only way you will even think to use 10g) your video cards will pretty much be completely idle.
