Foxconn 2ADA Not working on Zotac GTX 1050 MINI

So I got a Zotac GTX 1050 MINI 2GB and this was an upgrade from my EVGA GTX 650 1GB and when I went to install this on my motherboard being the Foxconn 2ADA it would display the HP logo of the PC but it was just stuck there and we couldn't go to the BIOS. After which it beeps once and after a medium amount of times it'll beep once again. Is my motherboard not compatible with my new graphics card? I read in some topics here that it should run since I have 1 PCIE 16 slot on my motherboard but it does not seem to work. I had no issue when using my previous graphics card. I had this all done inside a computer shop when I went to get my PC cleaned. They said that my motherboard couldn't support GDDR5 but that's obviously not the case since my EVGA GTX 650 was GDDR5. I don't know what else to do, any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I forgot these are the additional specs
Processor: Intel I3 2120
PSU: FSP Hexa HE 500 (500w)

Edit: When I removed the GPU and used the integrated graphics card of the motherboard it worked fine.

Solution
good luck I just think that anything above that 750 ti that still woprks under legacy bios is all your going to get to work at best .

if you go a factory HP install of win-8 then maybe try to turn off secure boot feature -- see with them prebuilts even the difference between a same model / board that came from them with 7 or below or one with win-8 and above is nighrt and day on how many cards may work out

like these 900 and 10 series cards pretty much need a uefi bios - times have changed on how things are plug and play anymore .

the guy with the foxcon bios link thing ?? now that may or may not work seeing the one you got is a HP used board not a retail aftermarket board ??

that's your risk to try .. hp may of...

First suggestion change the psu for example to this one : https://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-Bronze-Power-Supply-Unit/dp/B01F67KZEC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496059386&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+bronze+500w

Second thing have you updated your motherboard bios? Don't do it yet it's just a question.

Third thing plug your monitor to your motherboard and try to boot the system. Then reseat the card to the pci-e slot and boot it from the card it should work. It seems like your card is not seated correctly in the motherboard.

Nope, I haven't yet since I know that it could screw up my pc and I'm a bit afraid to do it unless someone really guides me.

That's the thing I already did this many many times and it still wouldn't work

If your system is not booting up with the craphics card out and monitor plugged into the motherboard than something is up either with motherboard or cpu.

''it would display the HP logo of the PC but it was just stuck there and we couldn't go to the BIOS. After which it beeps once and after a medium amount of times it'll beep once again. Is my motherboard not compatible with my new graphics card?''

that's right . card may not be supported under the motherboard bios all too common may see if the latest bios helps and added support for use of more aftermarket/ latest cards ???

some models of store bought computers [dell.hp,acer,ect..] may come with a ''locked or fixed'' / legacy or uefi bios and may not allow you to change certain hardware as a video card.. this is done to protect them from undue warranty claims and refunds .this is not done to hurt you but to protect them. you really need to see if that upgrade has been proven to work in your model first before you invest money in it .. there are a lot of these threads here at toms to look at some models will allow upgrades and some dont.. and a lot of guys here say ya ya ya when is really no no no...it would be sad you spent $200 on a card that won't post after you installed it as most find out. then get told its your psu and you spend more and end up right back where you are now, but its up to you good luck..

you got to know the boards in these computers are not like the ones we use to do custom builds witch are open to upgrading with in the boards compatibly . the bios is custom made for there design and just for the parts they authorize to be used on there computers there only guaranteed to work as is out of the box as you bought it ,..

also these boards do not have to meet atx standards and there pci-e slot power may not do the required 75w needed for most higher end cards and can be limited to say 45 or 60w that is all thats needed with the low end factory oem cards that it may of shipped with

in the end any upgrade you do is all your own risk . the prebuilt manufactures only guarantees there computers work as sold to you as is out of the box from there factory with what they put on it , not a drop more

there in business to sell you whole ready to go computers , and dont worry about you upgrading them or giving you support to do so . thats not how they make there money they prefer you run to wal-mart and buy there ''better'' latest models

you may get lucky with this MSI card and maybe the best card you can use

''Pros: Legacy switch! I don't know why this isn't advertised more but for someone using a HP computer running a legacy bios this card is my savior. Even under pressure it seems to handle mostly everything I throw at it plus it's quiet and affordable''

like I said above

it a bios bug. look on hp support under your product info to see if there a updated bios. if there is most time you make a bootable flash floppy or usb stick and boot from it. on newer mb if there a bios update tool in the bios all you do is point the bios tool to the bios file on a usb stick.

I was looking back on that board I helped some guys with it to show you but there buried too deep to find in all these tracked threads .

if you could rma / exchange for that msi card maybe worth the try .

like this HP guy says

''Hi dpat. Video card to motherboard compatibly has several factors to consider. There is no definitive list of 'this card works with this system'.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/upgrading-video-card/td-p/2933171

matter of fact the HP forum maybe a good place to look at your model and board used to see whats said will work or not work

seeing there suggesting 600 series cards for it it maybe one of the ones that can only take a 600 series or below card ?? 700 series and above maybe no go's no matter what ??

welcome to the world of prebuilts and why we do custom builds [even now today that's no guarantee the way there going on compatibility with our custom aftermarket boards ]

I'll try asking in the forum to see what video card works for my motherboard.

Might imevitably change my motherboard though. Is the motherboard the only concern I should have? I know that I need to uninstall the drivers that my last gpu had but is there anything that I should still do just in case?

little confusing but fattygonewild is more correct in his answer like I am trying to point out on this

or like said here with a 900 card use

good luck

I've read somewhere in the forums that a person updated his bios using the same motherboard but it wasn't specified on his operating system which was window 7. Instead it was intended for for windows 8.

Can I use a different OS bios to update my current bios?

that's what I say hp will have models that were released with 7 and they tend to have a legacy bios and ones released with 8 may be a uefi based bios ?

I also see guys claim they did that and used the win-8 release bios and said it worked , but ??? again that's all your own risk .

''in the end any upgrade you do is all your own risk . the prebuilt manufactures only guarantees there computers work as sold to you as is out of the box from there factory with what they put on it , not a drop more ''

then like here maybe no help at all with certain cards used as I try to say

PROPRITORY HP not anything like a aftermarket custom board like you get from asus asrock or giga and msi

''there in business to sell you whole ready to go computers , and dont worry about you upgrading them or giving you support to do so . thats not how they make there money they prefer you run to wal-mart and buy there ''better'' latest models ''

like I said above
