Good day all,
The title pretty much says it all. Although I'm playing on a pretty old graphic card (Nvidia GTX 560 Ti), my pc works fine when playing games like The Witcher 3 or FIFA 17 on medium to low settings, but on old games (from about 10 years ago) the GPU crashes constantly. I would get the "no video input" message on my monitor, while the sound continues, and the only thing I can do then is to shut down the computer with the power button. It does not matter if I lower the video settings in these games.
The games I'm talking about can only run in compatibility mode. Games like Call of Duty 2 or Silent Hunter 3 (some of my favourite classics). I've already tried different compatibility modes, but none seem to work.
Can you tell me what the problem could be?
My specs:
- Intel Cold Lake DH67CL
- Intel i5-2500k @ 3.3GHz
- Nvidia GTX 560 Ti - 1 GB
- 8 GB RAM
