I need help,

I've been looking at setups for my gaming PC build. It then came with this incompatibility that I don't really understand. Would Anyone be able to help. I saw this question asked on the forum before but I was wondering if anybody could tell me whether my specific setup would work.

The full message said this:
"Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

Here is the link to the list:

All help is much appreciated.
Thanks.

New AMD FX CPUs haven't been...
That was true a couple years ago, but it doesn't apply unless you buy a used motherboard that never had its BIOS updated or a new motherboard that has been on the shelf for a long time. Why not tell us what motherboard and CPU? Why would you even consider buying a 970 motherboard?

when you get a warning like that you have to go to the mb vendor web page and look at all of the bios rev that have come out and the dates. then you have to email the seller or pre sales support ask for the serial number of the mb and the bios rev. with that info you can email the mb vendor and by the serial number they cna say that bios is on the mb or not. if the newest bios is on the mb your fine. if not you have to find an older cpu to boot and then update the bios. your 970 chipset issues is the same issue now with people with intel x170 chipset and the newer kurby lake cpu. the mb wont post without updated bios. to get the mb to post you have to use an older cpu to boot and reflash the mb.

New AMD FX CPUs haven't been released for quite a while; that compatibility issue should no longer exist with a new motherboard (unless it has been on the shelf for a very long time).
